All the Lives and Loves

All the lives and loves there’ve been,
Shared joy at being alive.
Eyes, this lovely world have seen,
Which nothingness did contrive.

Each plays their part the best they can,
With what they are bestowed.
Unaware what, if any plan,
Which from ancestry flowed.

And all will have their talents and skills,
Their loves and their dislikes.
With which their days each moment fills,
As along its road each hikes.

And life for most is in part shared,
With others same also here.
By circumstance and progress paired,
Our friends and family dear.

We collect and keep its precious things,
Which whilst here mean the most.
All which joy and comfort brings,
And of which were happy host.

Then when our time arrives to go,
And our purpose here is won.
We sad leave all we've come to know.
All we've whilst here been and done.
