Memorialised

Memorialised

I knew him well, now but a bench,
Which stares out to the sea.
His wife, without him life a wrench,
Is beside him as a tree.

They loved their time together,
As they walked this very scene.
In every kind of weather,
For each season here had been.

But now they both are sadly gone,
And memorialised as one.
No more this land to walk upon,
Yet still united in the sun.
