Nuisance Noise

Nuisance Noise

What is noise but silence filled,
When one from the other with thought distilled.
So try if you can to selective filter,
When vexing sound, harsh disturbs quiet’s kilter.

To separate what maddens most,
From silence as unwilling host.
And despite its harsh ongoing presence,
Selective spurn its disturbing essence.

And so restore an erstwhile calm,
By the use of this sentinel solvent balm.
To once again sweet silence find,
From this prevalent pollutant thus refined.
