Thanks to I Know Not Who or What

For all I am but might not be,
Safe passage through who knows what.
And that which intercedes for me,
Keeps safe my life and lot.

For busyness of daily being,
And all which make it so.
Sweet transience, time ever fleeing,
It's highs, lows, ebb and flow.

For moments of untrammeled joy,
Serendipity in all its guises.
Coincidence as subtle ploy,
And unexpected deft surprises.

For blustery days with boisterous skies,
And great days outdoors spent.
The seasons as they tantalise,
In three-month bundles sent.

The frantic joy which love invokes,
Its beauty, bite and wonder.
Sponge heart with which emotion soaks,
Dream's spells I swift fall under.

For all on whom my being depends,
Shared wellbeing, love and care.
My family, colleagues, neighbours, friends,
Steadfast and quietly there.

To what do I daily owe for these,
Kind unrequested gifts?
This unconditional will to please,
Which much unnoticed sifts?

Thank you, thanks and thanks again,
For purpose, health and meaning.
And measuring more in sun than rain,
Fate's generous intervening.
