The Great Outdoors

I just can't be in, when there's a welcoming out,
Confined by a roof and its walls.
Ever it summons me, and hearing its shout,
I can't help but obey its loud calls.
So even though duty would have me stay in,
To address mundane murmuring tasks.
I perpetually postpone when I plan to begin,
If to defer them the outdoor voice asks.
And so then it is, that I pull on my shoes,
And I'm ready to once more explore.
Heading out quickly, with no moment to lose,
Led by what lies beyond my front door.
