Waiting for a Bus

I checked the current timetable, and made it only just,
To the stop from where to the city I know I should be quickly bussed.
But 10 minutes on, I'm waiting still for the red rover to appear,
Unsure quite whether it's gone already, or coming and very near.
Then there it is but now is full, having come a little late,
And the driver asks if I don't mind for the next bus along to wait.
Apparently this is on its tail and likely lots of empty seats.
So I'll have no difficulty when that one arrives and me cordially greets.
But the second bus was also full, so drifted by my stop,
To complain no opportunity as no passengers did it drop.
In the end I decided I could go another time,
So rather than a shopping trip, I wrote instead this rhyme.
00:00 / 00:04
00:00 / 00:03
