You

Be gentle, kind to all you meet,
Upon the road of life.
Make time to say hello and greet,
Avoid all pointless strife.
But first be kindest to yourself,
Take care of all you are.
Your physical and mental health,
Life's greatest wealth by far.
With hindsight, everything could change,
And there's no profit from regret.
So never try to rearrange,
By needless worry what is set.
Rather, learn from past mistakes,
Look forward to the future.
The wounds that life so often makes,
Time heals well with its suture.
Try never strive until you drop,
Hold short and take a rest.
If work becomes too stressful, stop,
Lest life should lose its zest.
If possible, try have a break,
A carefree trip away.
And just enjoy the time you take,
A month, a week, a day.
Never loose sight of hopes and dreams,
Or give in to blind despair.
Be optimistic though it seems,
Your life's beyond repair.
For tomorrow is a virgin leaf,
Why assume it must be bad.
You make yourself unwitting thief,
Of life you've not yet had.
Don't punish yourself when life's a trial,
It's full of ups and downs.
You'd not appreciate a smile,
If it wasn't for the frowns.
So enjoy your life, and take good care,
Of the miracle that is you.
One of a kind; there is no spare,
A soul which life foreknew.
